About my practice

Providing the specialized attention and care that is needed by mothers and moms-to-be as well as fathers and dads-to-be is my goal. During this season of life, there is a lot of change - this can be overwhelming at times but can also lead to a lot of growth. In your life, you carry a multitude of memories, longings, fears, and dreams—and within you is the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience. In my practice - you are the expert. My role is to listen well, ask thoughtful questions, and walk alongside you. I believe wholeheartedly in my clients’ ability to make positive steps on their journey.

One important note about my practice: I am a Christian and offer faith-based counseling for clients who desire it. That may include weaving prayer and scripture into our work together. At the same time, I warmly welcome and work with clients of any or no faith background. I will always respect your beliefs, preferences, and boundaries.

I draw from a range of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Sessions are typically 50 minutes, once per week.

A Little Bit About Me

My calling to serve others was clear from the time I was young as I discovered my warm-hearted and empathetic nature help to put others at ease and feel accepted.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who practices faith-based Counseling in Austin, Texas. I graduated from Texas Tech with my Masters Degree in Counselor Education with a focus on Community Counseling.

My husband and I have been married eleven years and now have two children—the most wonderful blessings from God. This photo was taken at my baby shower, when I was pregnant with our first child. Our lives look much different now. We have faced trials, felt heartache and experienced incomparable joy and awe as parents. Each family has a unique journey. My goal is to walk with you through the challenges of life to return to the light.
